The WNY Lions Club does a wonderful job in recognizing young writers’ talent and encourage them with diplomas and money prizes to continue their journey into excellence in education and success in a promising writing career. A special recognition belongs to Dr. Mendez and UCHS Principal John Bennetti, whose educational leadership and the freedom they allow teachers to create and develop their own teaching styles and methods within the Core Curriculum Standards must be acknowledged for the continued success of our high school. Congratulations to all the winners!
