The Hispanic Society of America: a must for art lovers
The Hispanic Society of America, located on 155th St and Broadway is one of the most significant museums on Spanish history, one of the most treasured and hidden secrets in New York City with great paintings of Francisco Goya, Diego Velazquez, and Joaquín Sorolla, and many more masters. It’s collection is a must see for all art lovers and people who appreciate beauty and art. Every year I take my SNL III Honor Students and members of the UCHS Spanish Club to this incredible museum, where I teach in front of the great master’s paintings, the ceramics collection, the religious icons, the burial images of Spanish nobles, and so many other interesting displays. I recommend anyone who is interested in Spanish Heritage and art to visit this great museum, founded in 1904 by Archer M. Huntington, a great lover of Spanish art.
