Kenya’s Samuel Kamau Wansiru win the Olympic Marathon!
Ethiopia’s Deriba Merga (1650), Morocco’s Jaouad Gharib (2391) and Kenya’s Samuel Kamau Wansiru (2263) compete in the men’s marathon during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Sunday Aug. 24, 2008. Wansiru won the men’s marathon title, giving Kenya their first ever Olympic gold in the event. Gharib finished second for the silver.
