Clijsters is one of the top favorites to win the tournament, and garner a consecutive US Open championship, and a third cumulative title. On the other hand Ivanovic played an aggressive tennis, and her attitude on the court has improved: she seems more relaxed and her game is showing an improvement that will take her to her rightful top ten ranking in the next months of the tour.
