Letters to the Editor
The Jersey Journal

It gives me great pleasure to write this letter and say thank you to the R.O.T.C. cadets of Emerson High School in Union City, led by Marine Sgt. Caonabo Reyes.

These fine young men and women have carried the colors and marched in the Ridgefield Memorial Day Parade along with the members of American Legion Post 221 in Ridgefield. They have also been there to help and support us at various fund raisers and tributes over the past two years.

You constantly hear about those young people who cause trouble, but not enough is written about good young men and women and what they do.

After meeting and talking with these cadets, I know the future is in good hands. They are truly a credit to themselves, their families, and the educators and staff of Emerson High School.

Once again, speaking for myself and my fellow veterans, I say, thank you Emerson High School R.O.T.C.
